On November 8, 2008, at a great Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards dinner, our firm received its second Professional Services award in three years. Stander and Company was given First Place again in the Professional Services category, for the year 2008, and was cited for its ongoing commitment to integrity, compassion, and, especially, excellence. Delwen Stander, in accepting the award for the firm, noted for the audience at the gala dinner that his firm strives, and will continue to strive, for the highest level of service to its clients, and that even without awards, this commitment would remain a guiding light of the firm. Nevertheless, Delwen noted that “when one receives the approbation of one’s peers in the business community, it is both humbling and an honour”. As we near the end of our third full year as a firm, this was a most enjoyable and pleasant way to mark our anniversary. Delwen noted that the entire staff share in this award, as it is the firm’s determination to meet its mission that resulted in the Chamber’s recognition.
